。 8 月 25 日消息，科技媒体 NeoWin 昨日（8 月 24 日）发布博文，指出在 Windows 10、Windows 11 系统中，微软内置整合 Compact OS 功能，可以压缩 Windows 系统文件，从而减少系统在磁盘上的占用空间。查询公开资料，Compact OS 并非新功能，最早可以追溯到 2014 年推出的 Windows 10 Build 9879 预览版，在 2015 年发布的 Windows 10 1507 更新中上线，可以压缩系统的核心文件，为硬盘释放数 GB 的宝贵空间。微软表示，该功能适用于存储空间和内存有限的设备，通常能为系统盘节省 2GB~4GB 的存储空间，最早是为了照顾 32GB 甚至 16GB 存储的低端平板和轻薄本。微软自身的文件夹大小对比测试表明，这种方式可以节省大量空间。在一台配备 4GB 内存的 Windows 10 x64 系统上，未启用 Compact OS 时，文件夹占用空间约为 15.06GB；而启用 Compact OS 后，文件夹占用空间约为 11.3GB。
